Well, it's consoling enough to see that the seat won't be handed to another of the Kennedy clan.. I'm glad the state can break free from those Communist clutches..
But tonight's topic is the debate between Scott Brown and Martha Coakley.. I think Scott won, but it wasn't decisive enough, in my opinion, for the liberals to realize that he won.. Let's just hope that in 8 days he can come from behind and pull it off!!

Get your terminology right: "It's not a Kennedy seat, it's not a Democrat seat, it's the people's seat" ;D

Do you think Massachusetts has the best government mandated health care plan in the nation? Is Massachusetts going to have to pay more taxes for the Obama health care? Is health care a right or a privilege? Is Cap & Trade a tax? Does cutting taxes = more jobs? Does Massachusetts support the wars and occupation of countries around the world? How is the government going to pay for the wars, occupations, social services, health care? If you haven't seen the debate you can watch it here on c-spanPersonally, my big issue right now is health care!

Do you think Massachusetts has the best government mandated health care plan in the nation? Obviously not.. Massachusetts does nothing better than any other state... Is Massachusetts going to have to pay more taxes for the Obama health care? Um, yes.. And our kids.. And their kids... Is health care a right or a privilege? Health care is the result of a person going to 10 or more years of college and serving an internship... To say that anyone is entitled to anyone's skills is asinine... They deserve to be paid for their skills that they've honed and perfected in school... Does cutting taxes = more jobs? Not normally, but the outcome of this has yet to be seen..

Thanks Brass. I think when I heard Scott Brown talking about health care stating Mass has the best health care in the Nation I wasn't paying attention to what I didn't hear. That is, Brown went on to state that we have the best doctors and nurses... Now, what he did NOT say is that Mass has the best health care policies in the nation. There are very caring doctors and nurses in the health care profession but their delivery of care is shackled by government backed insurance policies. Massachusetts is a lab rat for what Washington is pushing on the Nation with even more draconian policies that will shackle "care". Being sold in the name of "health care reform" should be called "health care and life style reform mandates and rations". Most people don't realize was a mess this health care business really is for people that make a decent living out of big corporate America. I was talking to a man that had a heart attack and two stints put in. 3 nights in the hospital and the bill was $75,000.00! He didn't carry an HMO and his insurance covered $50,000.00 the hospital billed him $25,000.00 (rounded off). A modest wealth and self sufficiency will get eaten up real fast that way. Another man I talked to had this happen to him with a bill from U-Mass Medical and he got a lawyer went into the business office with his lawyer and demanded all the bills from illegal aliens that were treated at the hospital during the time he was treated there and were treated for free. Somehow his bill got reduced to $1.00 The insurance companies are rotten to the core and racking it in! They have grouped us into "managed care", worked deals with hospitals and jacked up the price for the individual. I remember several years ago I went to the doctor for something minor and didn't want my insurance billed and told them I'd pay the bill. They told me they would have to charge me 3 times what they charge the insurance company. That is what I call a monopoly! Saying health care is a right is like saying I have a right to use the government to point a gun at my neighbors and force them to pay for my right, even if it costs my neighbors the ability to take care of themselves. There is no sanity left. Coakley argues with Brown that cap 'n trade is not a tax! Brown seemed dumbfounded and laughed stating "yes it is" but they didn't get very far into it. Of course it's a tax a huge one that we are going to get rammed down our throats even though their Copenhagen treaties failed they're going to do it anyway! Coakley saying it isn't a tax is just a bold face lie. God help us! Brown did well in the debate, I think anyway. He is going to give Coakley a run for her Big Pharma and Big Insurance backed campaign.Look who wuvs her - from the link: Here are some of Coakley fundraiser hosts with some of their current health care clients:
* Thomas Boggs, Patton Boggs: Bristol-Myers Squibb * Chuck Brain, Capitol Hill Strategies: Amgen, BIO, Merck, PhRMA * Susan Brophy, Glover Park Group: Blue Cross, Pfizer * Steven Champlin, Duberstein Group: AHIP, Novartis, Sanofi-Aventis * Licy Do Canto, Raben Group: Amgen * Gerald Cassidy, Cassidy & Associates: U. Mass Memorial Health Care * David Castagnetti, Mehlman, Vogel, Castagnetti: Abbot Labs, AHIP, Astra-Zenaca, General Electric, Humana, Merck, PhRMA. * Steven Elmendorf, Elmendorf Strategies: Medicines Company, PhRMA, United Health * Shannon Finley, Capitol Counsel: Amgen, Astra-Zeneca, Blue Cross, GE, PhRMA, Sanofi-Aventis. * Heather Podesta, Heather Podesta & Partners: Cigna, Eli Lilly, HealthSouth * Tony Podesta, Podesta Group: Amgen, GE, Merck, Novartis. * Robert Raben, Raben Group: Amgen, GE.
If Coakley pulls it out, this is the crowd that will have brought her here. If health-care reform passes, this is the crew that will have won.I like Joe Kennedy and agree with his platform of audit the fed and all the Ron Paul Campaign for Liberty and bringing these giants to a justified end, get back to sound money and a Constitutional Republic but he didn't give me the impression that he was prepared enough to go into what would be in store for him. But the message and the movement of freedom and liberty is growing and Massachusetts would be a great place to champion that bell. Bring liberty and individual freedoms back to Massachusetts! I'm going to write to Scott Brown and express my sincere desire that my vote for him is his representation of Mass citizens to the Boyz in Washington be one that we are going to be free from Big Government imposing oppressive federal and regulatory policies that coerce the citizens to pay more taxes for government programs that they get no benefit from. Among other things....

BTW, I read somewhere that Coakley refused to do a public debate unless the Librarian candidate Joe Kennedy was given a chair and voice at the debate. At times during the debate she seemed to kind of pander to him and saying things like she agrees with him on certain issues.
Oh, the strategies! Split the votes... she's worried! There is a strong push to vote 3rd party to "vote the rascals out of both parties" but I say go with half the pie and get R Scott Brown in and hold his feet to the fire. We've a long way to go...

This morning I voted for Scott Brown. Saw lots of Scott Brown signs around, didn't see one for Coakley. Earlier in the morning I got phone calls from acquaintances (out of state) that I don't normally talk to out of business stuff and they were urging me to vote for Scott Brown. Unbelievable! One said, "if Massachusetts can do this, there is hope for us".

Thank you Scott Brown and everyone that voted for him! I am humbled by the power of people to wake up, rise up and say with clear finality that enough is enough. Look out Washington, here we come and there is nothing you can do about it. 2010 is the year to make '94 look like a tempest in a teapot.
