In one of the most anti-free market articles I've seen in a while, I read this: "Ticket prices should rise steadily over time to deter air travel and ensure that carbon dioxide emissions from aviation fall back to 2005 levels, the Committee on Climate Change says. It believes that airlines should be forced to share the burden of meeting Britain’s commitment to an 80 per cent cut in emissions by 2050. " Deter air travel? Why would anyone openly admit that they want to reduce the business of such a huge industry? And all for the environment-an issue that is debatable? Wow... The article

It might be the UK but coming to America. It seems Americans are a little harder to tame.
Al Gore will not be affected of course, price is no object to overcome for the likes of him.
I have an idea, prevent corporations from owning their own jets, but then that would mean a loss of freedom, impend commerce, stifle "free" enterprise and put a choke hold on corporate interest that is too big to be subject to what the menial pesty citizens must abide by.
