I loved Adam Lambert's Ring of Fire rendition, but I just can't get past the fact that he's gay and has been photographed kissing men while in drag..... He's no American Idol... He's the Amsterdam Idol or New Orleans Idol.....
I LOVED his performance of the song, but it loses a lot if you don't watch it.. You kind of need to see him for it to really be good... I thought it was brilliant the way he dealt with being forced to sing country..
It's just icky to think that as he's singing the lyrics, "I feel for you like a child," he's singing it about a man... And I can only imagine what ring is on fire in his life.... Ugh!!
But he is one of the very best singers ever on the show, sexuality aside, which I have a very hard time setting aside... For the record, homosexuality doesn't bother me as long as I'm not forced to watch homosexual sex acts. I think it's rude and offensive to force your alternate lifestyle on someone. But if they're respectful of the fact that straight people don't want to observe homosexual PDA, I have no problem with them.
Here is what this fag does when he's not on Idol-not a person I want my kids idolizing.. Lambert is on the right:
And now on the left:
Disgusting...
He does very well down low where other artists sound like they're talking.. He did very well in Ring of Fire at the beginning when it could have very easily sounded like he was just talking.. He rocked it..
Danny Gokey sang Jesus Take the Wheel by Carrie Underwood, and I think he killed it.. Danny has a soulful voice that is like few in history.. He is a master artist and deserves to go all the way... Danny is my favorite. His wife died one month before his audition, and he's still here.. He's a great person and a great singer.. I can't wait for him to start making albums...
I love Amanda Joy! She's not only gorgeous, but her voice has a really unique tone to it, and when she sings it just looks so effortless. The barely opens her mouth and the music comes out with power. She's been singing pretty subdued songs, though. I'd really like to see her sing something with more power.
And what can we say about Allison Iraheta.. At 16 year old she has the power, control and confidence of a singer much more accomplished, and she just rocks every time. The judges love her, for the most part, and I'm glad. She's really good. I just hope she can do Motown next week. She's more of a rocker.
Kris Allen is really impressive with his control and tonal quality. I think he's a really good singer. They're all really good singers, or they wouldn't be there. But knowing that we have to get down to one eventually, I don't think it will be Kris. He's forgettable.
Anoop Desai just doesn't look American, so I don't think he's America's next Idol. I'm sure he'll be going home, but he is a great singer, and he proved that this week with Always On My Mind. He did a great job.
Alexis Grace is pretty good. She's only 21, so we'll have to forgive her for the stupid pink streak in her hair. Youthful indiscretion. But she's really charming America. She did look kind of stupid on stage when she had to ask Simon what, "Sound alike," meant in front of 30 million people, instead of just inquiring to someone afterward. Blond moment.
One real big disappointment from Idol's past is Scott Savol from a few years ago.. I thought he was great!! Aside from a little racial confusion, he could sing..!!! Just watch, "She's Gone," by Hall and Oates.. He was good, but he got voted off, and he never made an album that got radio air play..
Also, I think that Bo Bice should have killed Carrie Underwood.. But she beat him.. Watch, "Remedy," for some enlightenment.. It doesn't get any better than this.. Bo looks like he's been doing this for years, and he had been...
