kb7385 Re: Recent sale of town land? I have to disagree, I believe this should be brought to town meeting and voted on there. just as the drag strip was and other type issues.
allow the town to make this decision as to what is good for all of us. That's just downright communist; the idea that everybody in the town get to vote whenever someone wants to do something on their property. All laws have been followed, concerns of immediate neighbors have been addressed, it's been approved by all applicable boards, the owners should be able to build without getting further approvals.

I read that over there on the BYF.. The owner also came before the Conservation Commission, and he had ducks in a row, and he's looking to make use of a vacant piece of land that is bringing in no revenue for the town.. Bliss acts like we live in a condo community.. Plus, there's only two or three houses on that entire street. Ready Drive residents don't count, as they're living on the dole, anyway, and aren't property owners.. The benefits will be at least two-1. He'll bring a business to town with all that this benefits, i.e. tax revenue, jobs, traffic to purchase the pellets. And, 2. He will manufacture wood pellets that can be purchased at his site at a certain discount over the $6 per bag that Wal-Mart sells them for.. What would be sweet is if he gave Winchendon residents a discount.. kb obviously doesn't have a pellet stove.. Kevin, if you want a real hoot, go to Ron Gaspard's site if you want to see a real Liberal who absolutely refuses to hold Obama accountable for giving us now 5 tax cheats for cabinet nominations, two of whom have recused themselves.. He's whining about the ReppTide forum, so I went there and read how he called everything there drivel... Yeah, drivel, like what Obama spewed through his entire campaign and is now backing away from because reality has set in.. Ron, like all Liberals, can't argue with facts because they get their asses handed to them, so they just stomp their little feet and call facts drivel.. And so it goes, as usual, Conservatives argue with facts and Liberals argue with feelings.. Obama has already committed more immoral acts in backing these people who should be in prison than President Bush committed in his entire eight years.. Topic for another thread, I guess.

I totally agree with you Kevin! Some people want all the laws to bend to their sensitivities. No inconvenience is too minor to trample on individual rights and property rights. If one is offended by sight, smell or sound they want the right to vote you out of their space. First of all, I don't believe that the voting process has been a representation of the majority for a long time but even if it did represent the majority, that would not give them a legal right to vote against the business owner that bought commercial property and complied with all the bylaws. That is mob rule and anti-American!
