I thought I would go into Boston for the Tea Party, but since my son had a band concert last night, I headed to the closer Tea Party in Worcester (still an hour away) just so that I could partake in history and get back before it was too late.. I was so glad I did.
We had over 2000 people gathered, and here are some pictures of the event. I took all of these pictures, and if you would like to use them, feel free, but please inform me (bradleys88@verizon.net) of where so that I may follow along.. I'll post some video links, as well:
One of my favorite pictures:
Through the windshield of my car and my Fire Department dash light obscures the lower left.. Sorry about the poor quality, but there would have been no other way to photograph these patriots without standing in traffic!!
I thought this guy's expression was priceless:
So true, so true:
The only media to attend:
One family sat down with the radio station:
This guy told the story of the company that his father started 43 years ago that had to close its doors in 2007 due to overseas competition and the numerous laws that strangle a company and prevent them from hiring certain people and firing certain others (if you know what I mean). He pulled out a thick binder of rules and regulations for hiring people-it was inches thick and ridiculous..
He was very passionate, and I don't blame him. He said the legacy his father left him had to fire all of its employees and close its doors, and it broke his heart..
This little book that he pulled out of his shirt pocket was The Constitution and the Declaration of Independence:
My favorite sign:
My wife's favorite sign:
